The Comforter
As I was walking towards my workplace, I had to pass the urgent care center that serviced my husband. Yet today was different. I was passing the place that birthed this dramatic change towards my life. This time as I passed it, I began to cry.
I wonder how many widowers are walking by that one area or place that reminds them of how their lives have changed. How many of us are hiding our tears behind closed doors? How many of us are wishing we had that last hour just to say I love you or hold their love one hand. This type of pain is goes deeper than a lost of a friend or family member. It pierces all the way down to your bones.
Blessed are they that mourn for
they shall be comforted. Matthew
5:4
Nevertheless we have a God that
cares even about those secret hurts we try to mask from people. He’s right there in the midst of our darkest
hours. He loves us so much that He knows
how to be our comfort in our time of need.
Be encouraged my fellow widowers!
