Happy Mail
September 14th 2020 marked the third month of my husband passing. I can’t believe I am already in the third month of this pain. It was a struggle as I was reflecting on how I would never get to stare at his cute face. I would never get to just grab and hug him. I would never get his slapping my behind telling me how good I looked. I will never get his happy mail surprises. Our love story has come to an end, but I am blessed to have so many wonderful memories that warm my heart within!
Nevertheless God word stands even in the midst of our grief. The eyes of the Lord is everywhere beholding the good and the evil. See it never dawn on me that God knew that I was going to struggle with those thoughts that day and already provided away to uplift me.
So here I am at one of our favorite parks just expressing to one on twitter that it’s been three months. The next thing I know I received prayer and a YouTube sermon called Worshiping While Wounded by Pastor Reginald W. Sharpe. I went from crying to speaking in tongues right there in the park. I was so grateful for my friend sharing that with me as it did a 365 degree turn in my spirit.
Then later on that day when I got home, I received a package. Here I was saying to myself what I ordered is coming tomorrow. So I checked Amazon and it still stated it was in delivery. Now I was like what is this package. It was a white noise machine gift from another friend from twitter. I immediately thought of my husband and those happy mail moments. The gift brought joyful tears to my eyes and a praise break to God for loving me so much that he will make sure I got that package on that day. It could have come any other day, but it didn’t.
So be encouraged widows to remember that God bore our deepest grief. He care about all the details we are going through that is specific to a widow. He is right there to ease the pain, to dry our tears, and to send hugs even if it mean doing it by touching someone’s heart to send you happy mail.
Oh how He loves us saints, let’s love Him back!
